Why make your own red pizza sauce? Here are a few reasons: It’s much more flavourful than store bought and it's crazy easy. It’s sugar and preservative free. Most pre-made jarred sauces are loaded with preservatives, sodium and sugars. This sauce is made with pure ingredients and is blender ready and deeply flavourful I make this with canned whole tomatoes and with strained tomatoes. It works well with both, however I would say I prefer the flavour and purity of using the pure strained tomatoes. The brand I recommend, whose link I have included in the recipe has only one ingredient in their strained tomatoes: tomatoes, no salt and no sugar or anything else. This recipe will make enough for at least 3-4 pizzas. It freezes well. I pop any extra in the freezer in glass mason jars (leave 1 inch space at top of jar). Did I mention that this sauce takes only 5 minutes to make!? Once you make this sauce, you will never buy jarred pizza sauce again!!
