Products I love…

D’Vash Organics

I have been using D’vash products since 2019, and I love using them in my baking and cooking, from smoothies to sauces and dressings, to frozen desserts, puddings and no bake snacks and squares. I love that they are simply made from organic whole dates. Dates are a healthy, naturally low glycemic sweetener and an essential part of my gluten free and refined sugar kitchen.

When it comes to my health, as a person living with auto-immune and chronic illnesses, organic whole foods are essential. I start most days with a smoothie and I was excited to discover Koyah freeze dried organic whole fruit and vegetable powders. They are a simple way to add organic nutrient dense foods to my daily life. Discover the full portfolio of fabulous products at

Namaste Foods

All of Namaste products are produced in dedicated certified gluten free facility and their products are free from the top 8 allergens.  They are also a women-owned and family-operated company, who source many of their grains from local Idaho non GMO farmers.

Namaste Foods Pizza Crust Mix

Why I love it:  My family was really impressed with the crisp thin crust that the mix achieved. I love the herbs infused into the mix, they add great flavour to the crust. Don’t be dismayed by the texture of the batter. It will be very much like cake batter, thin and sticky. If you follow the directions EXACTLY as on the package, you’ll have a perfectly crisp thin crust. We cooked ours on a pizza stone on our grill/BBQ and it turned out beautiful.

Namaste Foods Waffle and Pancake Mix

Why I love it:  It’s pretty amazing when waffles and pancakes can come together in less than 15 minutes. The pancakes were light and fluffy without being starchy or gritty like so many other gluten free mixes I’ve tried. I love that they were sugar free as well.

The waffles were light and airy with a nice crust. They didn’t get soggy but rather remained crisp. It’s a great make ahead breakfast that you can refrigerate and pop in the toaster the next day to crisp up.

Namaste Foods Egg Replacer

Why I love it:  I
have used other powdered egg replacement powders and this is the best one I’ve found. Like eggs in baking, it binds your ingredients together but also creates fluffiness and helps your baked goods to rise. I find that chia and flax eggs make certain baked goods too gummy and dense, so this product is a perfect alternative for all your gluten free baking creations!

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

Why I love it:  I love that it acts as a protein powder in smoothies and other recipes. I am not a fan of protein powders both because of their taste and chalky and sandy texture. I love that this is not only great for my skin but for my gut.

Big Tree Farms Coconut Sugar

Why I love it: It is a natural and sustainable unrefined sweetener derived from the sap of the coconut blossoms. It is absorbed more slowly into the bloodstream and is low in fructose. I have been off white and processed sugars since 2007 and I am extremely sensitive to sugar but find I have no adverse reactions to it in moderation. It has a deep caramel flavour to it that works well in all recipes as a replacement for sugar.

Ellie’s Best Nut Milk Bag

Why I love it:  I have been making non dairy milks for some time now, from cashew to hemp. I have used many other nut milk bags, but this bag is by far the best. Its much bigger, more durable and easier to clean than any other bag I’ve used. Go to and enter rocksanddirt in the coupon code for 10 % off your total order.
