I created this recipe during our recent crippling heat wave. All we wanted to eat was fruit and drink cold beverages. I had fresh local strawberries on hand as well as limes so this refreshing drink was born. We even enjoyed this for breakfast, making the perfect addition to your summer brunch table. You can switch out the limes fo lemons to make lemonade.

Add all of the ingredients (except ice) to a blender and blend at high speed for 3 minutes or so until you have a frothy smooth beverage. Serve over ice. If you are not drinking it right away, store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 12 hours and shake vigorously before serving.
