This mix is a great way to be able to enjoy hot chocolate on the go such as for camping or just to have on hand to enjoy any morning. If you want to make this Whole30 & Keto friendly, eliminate the coconut sugar and sweeten each individual serving to taste with liquid vanilla stevia.

 6 heaping tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  heaping 1/2 cup coconut sugar*
 3 tbsp collagen/vegan collagen powder* optional (if you omit the mix will be a bit sweeter)
 ¾ tsp sea salt
 ¼ tsp pure peppermint extract*
 1 tsp culinary lavender(optional)

Sift the cocoa powder, coconut milk powder, sea salt and coconut sugar over a medium bowl. Mix sifted ingredients and add lavender if desired. Then transfer to a glass container or jar and store in a cool dark place for up to a month or two.

*for kids who love their hot chocolate on the sweetener side you can add extra coconut sugar to the mix or add about 1/2-1 tsp extra to the individual portions and stir well once hot water is added. You may also wish to eliminate the collagen powder.

For one serving:
3 heaping tbsp of mix to 1 1/2 cup boiling water, whisk or stir well. For peppermint hot chocolate add 1/4 tsp to each individual serving.

to add some extra nourishment add 1/2 maitake mushroom extract to each individual serving.

*omit peppermint extract if adding culinary lavender to the mix
