After discovering a healthy cereal I knew I wanted to make it into Krispy cereal bar that involved double the chocolate. Since my husband doesn’t share the same love of Rice Krispy style squares as I, I didn’t mention the fact that I had made these. He disovered them and exclaimed “why didn’t you tell me about these, they’re amazing!

Place oil and marshmallows in a medium saucepan and melt over medium low heat. I found I need to push down on the marshmallows as I stir to make them melt Once melted (this takes about 15 minutes) stir in the chocolate cereal until evenly distributed. I find using my hands to mix works best.
Grease and line a 8 x 8 inch square glass baking pan with wax or parchment paper and pour the cereal mixture into the pan. Use your hands to spread evenly and take another piece of wax paper to press the squares down.
Over a double boiler or over very low heat melt the chocolate and the oil. Pour on top of the squares and place in the refrigerator to firm up. Once they have firmed up, gently and carefully go around the edges of the pan to remove the entire amount of squares. Once removed use a sharp large knife to portion them into 12 squares. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy!
