Blood Orange Elderberry Smoothie

Yields2 ServingsPrep Time7 minsTotal Time7 mins

This is a great way to incorporate citrus season into your smoothies. Since in the northern hemisphere citrus season falls in winter, when colds and flus are often circulating the most, I added camu camu powder to this. Camu Camu is a superfood that contains extremely high levels of Vitamin C. I also added immune boosting Elderberry tincture. Together it makes for a delicious healthy breakfast, snack that everyone in your house will enjoy.

2 Blood Oranges, Peeled and Seeded1
1 2 inch(5 cm) piece peeled Fresh Gingerroot
¾ cup Plain Unsweetened Cashew Milk Yogurt or Non Diary Yogurt of your choice
 1 tsp Camu Camu Powder
3 Dates, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes, then pitted
 1 Dropperful of Elderberry tincture

Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender and blend for at least 2 minutes or until smooth. Enjoy!
